🐾 Boarding, Grooming and Daycare FAQs

We know leaving your dog with us is a big deal — whether it’s for a haircut, a play day, or an overnight stay. Here are answers to the most common questions from our pet parents.

🌟 First-Time Clients

Q: I’m boarding my dog for the first time, what should I expect?
A: We understand the first time can feel overwhelming, so we make it as smooth as possible:

  • 🏡 Pre-Arranged Tours : We welcome you to tour our space before your dog’s first stay. Tours must be pre-booked to ensure they don’t disrupt other dogs.

  • 🛋️ Comfortable & Cage-Free: Our boarding is 100% cage-free with plenty of comfy couches, beds, and quiet spots for dogs to relax. We do provide kennels if your dog prefers to sleep in at your request.

  • 👩‍🦱 Always Supervised: Staff are on-site and supervising 24/7, including holidays.

  • 📸 Updates for Peace of Mind: We send you updates so you always know how your pup is doing.

  • 🎀 Daycare-Safe Collars Provided: For safety, we provide our own collars with emergency contact information.

Q: How can I book an appointment?

A: 📅 You can book directly through our website. Simply log into your account, choose your preferred service, and select a date and time that works best for you. Additionally you can give us a text, call or send us an email!

Q: How do I make an account?
A: 👤 Click Book With Us on our website and you will be redirected to our booking software where you can create your own account. You’ll just need to provide your name, email, and your dog’s basic information to get started.

Q: How can I log into my account?
A: 🔑 After selecting Book With Us you will be automattically redirected to the booking software log in screen where you can  enter your email and password. If you forget your password, there’s an option to reset it.

Q: Why do I have to sign an agreement?
A: ✍️ Our agreement is in place to protect both you and your dog. It outlines safety policies, health requirements, and service expectations, ensuring everyone is on the same page before your dog comes into our care.

✂️ Grooming

Q: How long will my dog’s grooming take?
A: Grooming appointments are booked for up to 4 hours. If we finish early, you’ll get a text. This allows us to groom safely without rushing and to build trust with your dog.

Q: What if my dog is matted?
A: If shaving is required, we will call you first for permission. We never proceed without your approval.

Q: Can you cut my dog’s nails shorter?
A: We trim nails as short as safely possible. We will not cut further even if requested, as this risks injury.

Q: Are there extra grooming fees?
A: Additional fees may apply for matting, difficult behavior, excessive coat, or double bathing. These start at $25.

Q: What if I don’t like the haircut?
A: All grooms are guaranteed for 3 consecutive days. If you’re not satisfied, we’ll adjust at no cost.

Q: Who grooms the dogs?
A: We groom as a team for safety, especially with large breeds.

🏨 Boarding & Daycare

Q: Is boarding cage-free?
A: Yes! Overnight boarding is 100% cage-free, with separate spaces for small and large dogs.

Q: Do dogs need to be spayed/neutered?
A: Yes, all dogs must be spayed or neutered by 6 months old to attend daycare or boarding. Dogs in heat are not permitted.

Q: What happens in an emergency?
A:

  • 🔥 Fire Safety: Dogs will be taken to Crestview Veterinary Hospital.

  • 🏥 Medical Emergencies: Dogs will be taken to the nearest emergency vet at the owner’s expense. We’ll attempt to contact you, but emergency care will not be delayed.

Q: Do dogs need a behavior test?
A: Yes, all dogs must pass a behavior assessment before joining daycare or cage-free boarding.

Q: Do you provide collars?
A: Yes, we provide daycare-safe collars with our phone number for emergencies.

💉 Vaccines

Q: What vaccines are required?
A:

  • Boarding & Daycare: Bordetella, Rabies, Parvo, Distemper

  • Grooming: Rabies, Parvo, Distemper

⏰ Pick-Up & Extra Stays

Q: How soon do I need to pick up after grooming?
A: Dogs must be picked up within 1 hour of your completion text.

Q: What if I can’t pick up right away?
A: If your dog is daycare-approved, extended stays can be arranged at no extra charge. Every bath service also includes 4 hours of free daycare.

🚪 Walk-Ins & Add-Ons

Q: Do you offer walk-in services?
A: Yes! Nail trims, pad trims, and other add-ons are available daily from 9am–7pm.

💳 Payments & Discounts

Q: Do you accept cash?
A: No. For security, we do not keep cash on-site. We accept all major debit and credit cards.

Q: Do you offer discounts?
A: Yes! 15% off for military, first responders, EMS, police, treaty card holders, WRHA, and Shared Health employees (services only; retail not included).

📌 Other Notes

  • Dog size is determined by the groomer.

  • All poodle mixes are classified as “doodles.”

  • We are not veterinarians — but if we notice health concerns during grooming, we may recommend a vet check-up.
